Final Thoughts for The Death of Charlie.

I believe it is not my fault. I think that it was his duty to be sent away to war, and that he has been disobedient. He deserves his punishment and i'm not going to take the pain for our loss. This whole situation will blow over soon enough.

Charlie Peaceful's Death.

Charlie Peaceful, the young local boy who was sent away to fight in the war, has been shot by a firing squad.



It is believed that he was shot this morning In front of the rest of his regiment.



Many of the local people are blaming me for sending Charlie away to fight, but it is every man's duty.

Common Thieves

Last night my gameskeeper, Lambert, caught young ruffians in the act of poaching on my land. It would seem as if it wasn't the first time. He brought them back to the house where i confronted them.

Half way through my supper and in my nightgown, i had to head out to the stables to find two young boys on their knees. Guess who they were. The Peaceful boys. I give their family a house to live in and this is the respect I get for it? How dare they do that. Do they not get fed in their house?

To make them pay for their act of shame, i forced them to come up to my house to get a hiding and to clean out the kennels. However, when they turned up, they had a third party member. Their mother had thought that it was extremely irrational for the boys to get a beating from me and thought that she would give me a piece of her mind. She came into my house, leaving the boys behind and began to give me a speech. "How dare you! How dare you! Beat up my children will you? Not on your life Colonel! Oh no, no. I have a better idea. I want my boys to be punished, but not with violence. They will clean out your kennels for a month." she yapped. "A month?!? No, Mrs Peaceful, if you are going to take the hiding away then they will be working right until Christmas." I argued back. She agreed and the punishment was put in place.
